‘I can’t get to see a GP. [The sessions] gives me peace and quiet. It’s a nice escape. I [would recommend] F.O.C. to anybody that’s going through a difficult time. It is an oasis for your troubles in everyday life. You’re in a community of people. You can talk if you want to, you are not pressured to do anything. This should definitely be in the NHS… More people need to know it’s out there and free.’
‘My GP told me about the Form of Clouds and thought it was something I would enjoy. I live in supported housing. I am not able to engage with things because of my autism as it makes it difficult for me to connect with people. The Form of Clouds gets me out to socialise. Mosaics were my favourite as I enjoyed making it into a pattern. I also like going on trips with the Form of Clouds. We have nice cups of tea and the art teacher is nice. We learn new things and I like getting out and about.’ I wouldn’t be able to access activities independently because of my autism and I don’t have any money. I would also still be nervous to go to other activities. At Form of Clouds the people are friendly, and it makes me feel not nervous.’
‘I feel great always at Form of Clouds which is why I was rushing here. I don’t want to miss even 1 hour. It’s always encouraging to come here, you have a good time with everybody and very inventive. Creation is my passion. I’m so happy, I’m always so happy coming here.’
‘Yes. I’ve made lots of friends [at Form of Clouds]. I’ve been coming since lockdown. I’f I didn’t come here I’d be ripping me hair out of me head like most days when I haven’t got anything to do. My Mind’s wandering. The sessions calm me down. I feel grounded and I don’t feel so alone.’
‘But I’m glad I have Form of Clouds, although this year I haven’t been as often as I would like, but I always try to come. I always walk away feeling better than when I came in. I like that we go on little trips. Because if it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t ever leave the house.’
